Try this droolworthy Dark Chocolate Lave Cake with an oozing centre! Gooey and decadent with a rich chocolate flavour - serve it warm with some ice cream, whipped cream or berries.


1 tsp cocoa powder
160 grams dark or semi-sweet chocolate
100 grams butter
2 eggs
2 egg yolks
¼ cup caster sugar
pinch of salt
2 Tbs flour


1. Preheat the oven to 180°C and grease or spray 4 ramekins then dust them with cocoa powder, to prevent sticking.
2. In a mixing bowl, whisk the eggs, egg yolks and sugar until pale. Prepare a double boiler and use it to melt the chocolate and butter together, while stirring over a simmer. 
3. Once the chocolate and butter is smooth, pour into the egg mixture then add flour and salt. Use a spatula to gently and slowly combine everything together.

4. Divide the mixture between the ramekins and bake for 12 minutes. Remove from oven and let rest for a minute, then carefully flip the ramekin onto a plate and serve immediately.
