Add some sweet heat to your dishes with this homemade sweet chili sauce! Elevate your dishes with a burst of flavor that strikes the perfect balance between sweetness and spice. Perfect as a dip, glaze, marinade or simply on a cracker with cheese!
INGREDIENTS
250g fresh chilli, stems removed (Note the hotness of the sauce will depend on the typle of chillies used.)
3 cup white vinegar
2 cup caster sugar
2 tsp flakey sea salt
2 garlic cloves

METHOD
1. Blend chillies and garlic in food processer until smooth,
2. In a pot, combine the vinegar, chillies, sugar, water, and salt. Stir well to combine until all sugar is dissolved. Bring the mixture to boil, then reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally until mixture is reduced and thickened. Remove from heat and cool completely.
4. Once cooled, transfer it to sterilised jars or bottle, seal and store in a cool dark place for up to 3 months. Alternatively can be stored in the refrigerator for several weeks.
Best left for 1 week to develop flavor before consumed.
